Michael Jackson Pop-Up Summer Workshop (5th Grade & Up)
Step into the world of the King of Pop in this fun, high-energy workshop inspired by the legendary Michael Jackson.
Students will explore the history of pop music and hip hop culture and understand how Michael Jackson's style continues to influence dancers and artists today. Students will learn iconic Michael Jackson movement styles including spins, gliding and the moonwalk, and work together to learn choreography from one of his most famous hits, Beat It. (Which was all about it was a peace and using dance instead of violence in the 1980s)
