MOVEMENT WORKSHOP FOR KIDS WITH RESIDENT ARTISTS BAYE & ASA (AGES 10-13)

Hip Hop & West African dance languages are the foundation of our technique.  This is not a Hip-Hop or West African class, but the rhythms of these techniques inform the way we energetically confront contemporary dance & theater. We encourage all levels to participate, and no previous technical training is required!

  • We’ll explore theatrical games that open new potential for expressivity

  • We'll move through space with physical courage

  • We'll build small compositions that introduce the possibility of narrative

Class is sweaty. Everyone is welcome.

Baye & Asa is a dance company creating movement art projects directed by Amadi ‘Baye’ Washington & Sam ‘Asa’ Pratt.
