Wild Heart & Sirens Performance

Two new and exciting companies from Colorado’s Front Range, Wild Heart & Sirens, will share original works of choreography. Sirens Dance, based in Denver and founded by Jennifer Kuhn, will debut in Carbondale and will be performing Jennifer’s original choreography. While a new company, the four dancers have worked together in a number of different premiere ballet companies on the Front Range including the David Taylor dance Theatre, the Dawson/Wallace Dance Project and Zikr. Wild Heart is a contemporary dance ensemble created by Kat Gurley, a dance artist based in Boulder, Colorado. The ensemble, which includes dancers from different areas of Colorado, uses dance and physical transformation as the sole vehicle for performance. This ensemble is in its second season and will perform excerpts from Kat Gurley’s critically acclaimed work, “My Mother’s Demon and My Father’s Burden”.
