Dance Initiative presents CoMotion Dance Company in an evening of works past and present. This diverse program will include two pieces from CoMotion's repertoire: Damages, a dive into the movement vocabulary of childhood and an exploration of the scars, physical and emotional, that live in our bodies. Damages was originally choreographed by Patrick Mueller in 2015 and has been re-explored and re-staged by Dana Ellis. Mother, choreographed by Meagan Shapiro for SHE in 2017, studies and exposes the light and the darkness of entering and experiencing motherhood. The evening will also feature three works-in-progress: Equus-Hominum from choreographer Shannon Jones, WALLS from choreographer Alya Howe, and some jazzy/broadway fun from Cabaret's Mein Herr choreographed by Carolyn Yates.
Two nights only at The Launchpad. November 9 & 10 at 7pm.
